Cal Fire and Escondido Fire Sent to Battle the Erupted Brush Fire

ESCONDIDO, California — A 5-acre brush fire erupted on a mountain on Rincon Avenue in unincorporated Escondido Tuesday.

 

The small fire near Fawn Creek Lane was in an area difficult to reach by firefighters, Cal Fire San Diego said.

 

Crews with Cal Fire and Escondido Fire were sent to battle the blaze that was moving at a slow rate of spread and was not threatening any structures.

 

The fire was 30 percent contained by 5:30 a.m.

 

There is no additional information available about the cause of the fire.
